  • Extended pot life
  • Non-toxic
  • Excellent choice for numerous materials

BA Series pad printing ink can print on wood, and much more! It is known as a fast-drying ink that can adhere to a wide range of substrates including: BAS, SAN, PVC, (pre-treated) polypropylene and polyethylene, polyester, polycarbonates, hard plastics, acrylics, and other finished substrates. This ink is high-gloss and can be used as either 1 or 2 component pad printing ink. (Remember the difference between being considered a 1-component ink versus a 2-component ink is the addition of hardener.) Abrasion resistance greatly improves with the additional use of hardener.

The typical workday and typical production shift generally run 8-9 hours, the same amount of time that BA series ink has a pot life of! This means that an open can of BA ink can easily last an entire production shift… say goodbye to wasting ink! Notably, BA ink is non-toxic, and has been formulated with pigments that are free from heavy metals. It comes in a wide variety of colors including 23 standard colors, 11 high density, 5 metallic, and CMYK 4-color process shades. Your color choices certainly aren’t limited with that selection!

But what about the drying process? The BA series ink is ready for overprinting in less than 60 seconds. The ink is considered dust dry in 20 minutes in room temperature conditions. Finally BA series ink is considered fully cured, otherwise referred to as complete cross-linking, in 6-8 days in room temperature.

If you’re looking to print on wooden train whistles, baseball bats, or even ping pong balls, BA ink might be a great fit for your needs. Other common applications for the BA series includes, but is not limited to: pens, injected modeled parts, medical devices, packaging, housing, and even cosmetics containers. Our technicians are skilled, knowledgeable, and equipped with years of practice to assist you in finding the best ink for your needs. Contact us today to get started.
