The Cobalt PRO+ CO₂ laser machine is a high-performance plate-making system featuring a 30W ceramic core laser. Designed for precision and versatility, it delivers high-resolution graphics up to 1500 dpi across a wide range of plate materials, including DuraLaze and exposed polymer. Beyond pad printing plate production, the 30W laser is also suitable for engraving promotional products.

Operating 20% faster than its predecessor, the Cobalt Pro, the Cobalt PRO+ represents the newest addition to Inkcups’ laser lineup.

A closed-loop DC servo motor provides consistent shaft power at higher speeds compared to competing systems. This continuous motion also improves accuracy to 0.254 mm (0.1%), eliminating the inefficiencies of frequent starts and stops. The built-in AutoFocus feature automatically adjusts to achieve the optimal focal point for precise engraving.

The machine includes an intuitive control panel that shows key information such as file name, total runtime, laser power, and engraving speed. Its 460 mm x 640 mm (18 x 25 in) etching area allows for processing large plates or multiple plates simultaneously.

Proper ventilation is required when operating the Cobalt PRO+ or any laser plate-making system. A minimum exhaust capacity of 300 cubic meters per hour (176 CFM) is necessary, either through a HEPA-filtered fume extractor or an externally vented blower. Inkcups offers the RX-5 system, which meets these requirements.

Compatible plate material includes DuraLazeLaser Red, and Laser Orange.
