X5-T Flatbed UV Digital Printer

The X5-T flatbed UV digital printer is a high-performance flatbed that can print a full 43.3″ x 24″ (1,100 x 610 mm) area in two minutes (uni- or bi-directional) for parts up to 19.7″ (500 mm.) Utilizing the latest in print head technology, the high-throughput X5-T prints CMYK plus two highly opaque UV LED-curable white inks, with an optional varnish for additional visual impact and adhesion protection.

The X5-T is designed for heavy-duty industrial printing and promotional products and features a rugged design that can handle near-constant use. Leveraging a large vacuum table and up to four Ricoh Gen 5 print heads, the X5-T is able to print flats and hard goods that are extremely tall up to 19.7″ in height. Ideal for full-color on-demand printing, the X5-T enables users to lower production costs, provide faster response to customers, and handle short-run quantities with customization.

The Flatbed

Inkjet printing requires extreme flatness for optimum print quality. The X5-T flatbed printer features a large vacuum table to ensure a precise degree of parallelism to the imaging heads.

Flatbed EdiJET cookies

EdiJET Capable

Purchase an X5-T EdiJET and print directly onto edible items such as cookies, cakes, and candies. EdiJET ink is safe to consume and has been known to pass FDA regulation on finished printed goods. Inks in Inkcups’ edible UV ink line, Candymark have no flavor therefor and will not alter the taste of the confection it’s printed on.

PRINT INNOVATION

MIRROR PRINT

Until now, mirror print has been a print technique used strictly for cylindrical printing, however a form of mirror print can be used to decorate the flat bottom of drinkware pieces, such as rocks glasses with UV digital flatbed printers. The X5-T creates stunning full color prints on the base of old-fashioned glasses to be viewed as the drinker takes a sip from above.

Print head recovery system

Head Recovery System

The Head Recovery System is capable of cleaning both Gen 4 and Gen 5 printheads. Head recovery can be performed to restore printheads that may be clogged and generally increase the longevity of the printhead. By using EBD cleaner in combination with this unit, printheads can be cleaned for further printing.
