At Inkcups, our Engineering and R&D teams are constantly driving innovation, allowing us to consistently deliver the most advanced and up-to-date products on the market. As part of this commitment, when a product is discontinued, we ensure a smooth transition by offering a suitable replacement. Additionally, we provide our existing customers with a comprehensive end-of-life plan that includes continued service, support, documentation on the Support Hub, and availability of parts for a defined period after discontinuation.

Laser Plate Makers

Laser plate makers have been a core part of the Inkcups product lineup since the beginning. In 2006, we introduced the Cobalt 1000, marking the start of our commitment to in-house plate-making solutions, a commitment that continues to this day.

We believe that companies who bring laser plate-making operations in-house gain a significant boost in productivity, along with the flexibility to update artwork as often as needed.

Cobalt 2000- Discontinued

An affordable alternative to polymer plates. Engineered for both large and small printing facilities, any user can now own a laser platemaker and take control of the process of making laser plates for their pad printing machines.

Replaced with: Cobalt Edge

The Cobalt Edge is a high-powered MOPA Fiber Laser designed to etch plate material for several applications ranging from promotional products to apparel and more. This 20-watt laser features a maximum marking area of 4.3” x 4.3”, a spot size of 44 micron and a fiber source life rating of 100,000 hours making it a powerhouse machine.

Digital UV Flatbed Printers

The Inkcups history lesson continues. In 2012, we introduced our first flatbed printer: the XJET, a conveyorized industrial inkjet printer. This innovative machine featured a patented loading mechanism that allowed for rapid loading while printing was in progress. It was a true breakthrough in the market at the time.

Similar to our approach with laser plate makers, we have continued to expand our line of UV flatbed printers by listening to customer feedback and evolving business needs. The result is a lineup of first-class products that lead the way in digital printing.

X5 UV Flatbed Printer- Discontinued

A high-performance flatbed that can print a full 43.3″ x 24″ (1,100 x 610 mm) area in two minutes. Utilizing the latest in print head technology, print CMYK plus two highly opaque UV LED-curable white inks, with an optional varnish.

Replaced with X5-T

The X5 and X5-T are closely related flatbed UV printers, with the main difference being the X5-T’s significantly higher height clearance. Engineered for speed and performance, the X5-T prints full-color, direct-to-object designs on areas up to 43″ x 24″ in just two minutes. It accommodates objects up to 19.7″ tall and uses advanced print head technology to deliver CMYK plus two opaque white inks, with optional varnish for enhanced durability and visual appeal.
