Mixing Preparation
(1- or 2-Component Ink)

Hardeners: PN Series pad printing/ screen printing ink can be used with or without hardener. Adding 1000-H in the ratio of 10% significantly increases abrasion resistance. PN Series ink has a working pot-life of 6-8 hours.

Solvent: Immediately after adding the hardener the mixture should be thinned to printing viscosity with 10%-30% Type: M, MS, EB, or S3 by weight. Adding solvent will make the ink less viscous and dry slower.

Drying: PN Series ink for treated and untreated polypropylene, treated polyester, metal, lacquered surfaces and polyurethane cures by either air drying at room temperature (10-15 mins) or with warm air circulation (about 122°F for 5 mins.) Polymerization is complete at room temperature 6-7 days after the ink is applied.

Retarder: For fine prints, add Type MS retarder in proportions not to exceed 50% by weight of solvent. Adding too much retarder may inhibit ink transfer from pad to substrate.
