Mimaki JFX plus Series UV Inkjets - Large Format Inkjet Printers
Inkcups Now is the official US servicing dealer for Mimaki Engineering Co. We sell Mimaki JF and UJF series industrial ink jet printers as well as provide training and technical support for these machines.
Models
The two wide format inkjet printer models differ by the maximum image size:
- JFX-1615 plus inkjet - 1600mm x 1500mm
- JFX-1631 plus inkjet - 1600mm x 3100mm
Applications
The Mimaki JFX plus large format inkjet printers use UV ink to decorate a broad range of substrates, including uncoated corrugated plastics and acrylics. The Mimaki JFX plus series are designed for printing high quality sign and POP display graphics for both long distance and close-up viewing.
Despite being flatbed inkjet printers, the Mimaki JFX plus inkjets are able to print on slightly uneven or irregular materials, with the height of up 50mm (2 inches). You can imprint both large objects and multiple pre-cut objects.
Print Quality
Among UV inkjet printers of the similar functionality, this series of Mimaki flatbed printer offers superior image quality and printing speeds. With the maximum resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi and 7 different dot sizes, these large format inkjet printers produce extremely high, nearly photographic quality images with smooth gradations in all color modes.
White Ink and Clear Coating
Using white ink, Mimaki JFX plus inkjets can print bright, vibrant color even on transparent and dark-colored media. With the newly developed clear coating, you can achieve a high-gloss finish and improve color-fastness.
Dual UV LED Lamps for High Speed
The JFX plus series are equipped with dual UV LED lamps. Installed on both sides of the carriage, the lamps allow higher production speeds with bidirectional printing. The inks are cured during the printing process so the decorated products can be used immediately after printing.
The use of LED light allows curing of the part with no increase in temperature. The lamps are guaranteed for 10,000 hours; after 1000 hours the level of illumination goes down by approximately 20%.

Software
High performance RIP software includes the following features
- 16 bit rendering eliminates tone jump and produces fine color reproduction
- Different images can be laid out freely on the RIP
- Versatile editing functions such as tiling, trimming, scaling and rotating are provided
- Enables networking between Windows and Macintosh computers
Other Features
Vacuum Table
The Mimaki JFX plus series have vacuum table with two modes and six zones that can be activated separately. In the vacuum pressure mode, the table effectively holds down the media while printing. In the reverse mode, the air stream lifts the material, enabling the operator to easily move and align even heavy and bulky substrates. The six zones that can be activated according to the size of the media.
Roll Hanger
The Mimaki JFX plus series inkjets have a roll hanger to help with flexible or rolled substrates.
Sensors to Prevent Head Crushes
The jam-detecting sensors prevent head crashes caused by substrates that are bent or warped.
Y-Bar Height-Adjust Mechanism
The electronically controlled Y-Bar Height-Adjust Mechanism allows to easily adjusting the height of the print head for a wide variety of media, up to 50mm (2 inch) high.
