July 2022 Update: The Cobalt 250 has been discontinued and replaced with the Cobalt PRO. The Cobalt PRO is an advanced CO2 laser capable of producing high-quality laser plates for plate-making. All other etching applications should be testing.

Here you see one application of Cobalt 250 laser engraver: laser etched glass. This compact machine, designed to make plates for pad printing, is also great for etching products like these colorful glass jars.

It is interesting to compare this – real – etching to a simulated one: Diamond Etch ink. The simulated etching is done with pad printing ink. Call Mike at 978-646-8980 to know more about your etching options!

Laser engraver used in this project:
Type: CO2
Brand: Cobalt
Model: 250
Standard applications: plate-making, glass engraving
Unconventional applications: up to you, just use caution…
