Printing on plastic Rubik's Cubes (click image to expand!)
Here is another example of PromoJET
inkjet printing on plastic: Gregg printed the white sides of these plastic Rubik’s Cubes. He started with wiping the surfaces with a primer, and the adhesion is superb! So is the quality of images - click on the picture to see it closer.
The PromoJET does not have white ink so to keep colors true-to-life you should print on white or very light-colored surfaces. However, a black logo will also work on darker colors. In fact, with these Rubik’s Cubes, a black logo would look good on any side.
The cubes were printed using the standard resolution - 1440 x 1440 dpi (pixels per inch). If your graphic file is of even higher quality, you will be able to print with the resolution of 2880 x 2880 dpi. Read more

Customized Combination Lock (Click to Expand)
Today we can customize pretty much anything so why not go ahead and print on combination locks such as these ones? Using the PromoJet Flatbed Inkjet we were able to quickly print the artwork onto the metal combination locks.
They definitely look a lot better than the standard one color lock dials that you would usually find. But don’t make the artwork lock too nice or someone might want take them away from you!
The combination locks were already pre-printed in white before they where inkjet printed to make the artwork more opaque. We also used our DigiBond Primer and heat-gun before printing to give better adhesion. The flatbed inkjet table is big enough to hold 60 of these padlocks at a time and the printing process doesn’t take more than a few minutes.
If you have any questions about the PromoJet inkjet printer, please give us a call at 978-646-8980!

Key and Dog Tag Printing
These really nice imprints were done by Paul using our Mimaki UJF 605C11 inkjet printer. The cool leopard pattern will definitely get some attention and the graphics on the custom dog tag is exceptionally clear. The size of the letters put together on the dog tag is only 0.06” high and 0.185” long, but is still very easy to read due to the exceptional quality of the inkjet printer. Click on the picture to see for yourself! Paul used a digibond primer on both of these items for it to stick better to the metal.
It took approximately 5 minutes to print one table which is big enough to hold 80 pieces at a time.

Inkjet printed guitar picks
Check out these nice looking custom guitar picks! Derek and Gregg were asked print these logos as samples to see how well the PromoJET
solvent inkjet would do. They didn’t need to use a fixture but instead just placed the picks on the flatbed. Before printing, the picks were pre-treated with an alcohol wipe and heat to make sure the ink would stick to the plastic material.

Due to its size and shape, this metallic water bottle is a great object for demonstrating what the PromoJET Flatbed Printer is capable of printing on. The diameter of the bottle measures to be 3.25 inches - the PromoJET can actually print on objects up to 5 inches high giving us more than an inch to spare. The printing table was lowered so that the print-head would pass over bottle without touching it. The table also has enough space to print 4-5 of these bottles at a time.

We all know how important it is to look cool when you are out jogging – so Derek and Gregg decided to team up for this task. Custom popcorn bags (click to expand!)
Look at these wicked good popcorn bags! Derek and Gregg of the ICN PromoJET Squad made these samples for a customer interested in the inkjet printer. Derek designed the “wicked” graphics; Gregg ran the tests.
To ensure adhesion to the waxed paper, Gregg used a heat gun - for just a quick moment so that the paper was not damaged. With the size of PromoJET’s tooling table, up to four bags can be printed at a time. Read more
