Printing on Poker Chips
August 11th, 2008 | Author: Inkcups NowYesterday Inkcups Now sent out a set of sample poker chips to a casino supply company. The Mimaki UJF-605CII Inkjet can even be adapted to print sharp pictures like these on poker chips. These pictures looked crisper than any poker chip I’ve ever seen, and that includes real, genuine casino chips. Better-looking art on poker chips means that they are more difficult to counterfeit, which is a huge benefit for casinos. If a casino supply company is known to have better, more consistent pictures on their chips, casinos will be attracted.
The Mimaki also keeps up with the speed other printers possess because of the amount of chips that can fit into one screen. CD Labels? Sports seats? Casino Chips??? What can the Mimaki not do? An incredibly versatile machine, especially considering the quality of image that is printed out on every surface we have tested so far.
Printer used in this project:
Type: UV flatbed inkjet printer
Brand: Mimaki
Model: UJF-605CII
Standard applications: pens, mint tins, zippo lighters…
Unconventional applications: 3-D paper calendards, crocs…
