Printing on Crocs
August 12th, 2008 | Author: Inkcups NowThese are sample straps for Croc Shoes printed by the UJF-605CII Mimaki inkjet printer. A new ink was UV tested ink was developed to print onto the Crocs with a consistent detail.
The texture of these straps is somewhat bumpy, so it’s amazing that the Mimaki can even print on the un-even surface. The shades stay pretty consistent considering the color change. This design may not be for everyone, but it definitely shows the potential for printing on croc shoes and other similar surfaces. It would be cool to see what the Mimaki could do on a full Croc Shoe. Again, the picture quality created by the Mimaki is high-quality and very sharp. I still can’t figure out what the Mimaki can’t print on.
