New Edible Ink Printer from Inkcups Now!

June 1st, 2011 | Author: Stephen
The PromoJET was the first of Inkcups Now’s line of inkjet printers to print with edible ink. The PromoJET is a great inkjet printer, however it is large and consumes a lot of space. With this in mind we have developed our PowerJet compact solvent inkjet printer into an edible inkjet printer in order to accommodate smaller work spaces and allow the user ease of portability.

The ink used in the PowerJet is the same ink used in the PromoJET. As always, the ink is 100% edible and is completely safe to consume. The PowerJet also can print at the same resolution as the PromoJET, leaving your edible items looking as good as they taste!

Printing Edible Cake Images with Edible Ink

October 5th, 2010 | Author: Stephen

Edible Cake Images by the PromoJET Edible Ink Printer

Edible Cake Images by the PromoJET Edible Ink Printer

At Inkcups Now, we have written blogs about printing on cakes, cookies, and all sorts of sweets with the PromoJET Edible inkjet printer. The results were nothing short of perfect. However, we get a lot of questions from readers that typically say “How can you print on sweets with the edible ink that are too large to fit on the bed of the printer? The answer is sugar paper.

Sugar paper is exactly what it sounds like. Sugar particles are compressed into one white sheet, similar to paper in texture, appearance, and flexibility. The white, paper-like, sheet is edible and tastes great. Sugar paper is a great application for the PromoJET edible ink printer. Provided that the user has edible ink and a digitized image on the computer, they will be able to print any image on sugar paper. The PromoJET Edible inkjet printer creates sharp images at a high resolution. Take a look at these children’s characters printed on the sugar paper.

The edible ink leaves no taste behind, allowing the consumer to truly enjoy the taste of cake. Handling of the sugar paper is easy as well! The ink dries almost instantly allowing the user to touch it without smudging. The best part of the whole printing process is that it requires no pre-treatment! The PromoJET edible inkjet prints at a higher resolution than other printers that are designed specifically for that application.

We here at Inkcups Now like to share some interesting news about our customers every once and a while. Today we received an email from Wanda, one of our customers that had purchased our PromoJET edible image printer. Here is what she had to say:

“Montgomery Gentry was in town over the weekend and I had ‘ins’ with the caterer. We gave them a tray of cookies with their photos and it was a huge hit. We also made 2 large ones for them to autograph, Montgomery didn’t show his face, but Gentry was gracious enough to take time for a picture and an autograph. A first maybe?”

I would say it was a first! Thanks Wanda for this great story!

Printing on Chocolate!

Printing on Chocolate(Click to Expand!)

We printed on chocolate with the PromoJET flatbed inkjet printer with edible ink. The edible ink is safe to consume and looks great on chocolate.

Printing on chocolate was easy. First, we did a little preheating to the point where the chocolates are almost melting so the ink can infuse with the chocolate and not smear off. The PromoJET flatbed inkjet printer printed a whole tray of these chocolates in under 4 minutes! After printing on the chocolates, we placed them in the refrigerator to further harden the chocolates.

The PromoJET edible inkjet printer can print on all kinds of treats such as cookies, cupcakes, mints, and cakes!

Happy Customer Thanks Inkcups Now!

May 17th, 2010 | Author: Inkcups Now

Wanda W. is one of Inkcups Now customers who recently got a PromoJET inkjet printer for Edible products. She visited our Headquarters in Danvers, MA for a training session (which comes free with any equipment purchase) and went back to Illinois to resume making delicious cookies and cakes, now with the new machine. I say “delicious” because Wanda left a cake here at Inkcups, after practicing in decorating it – and it was absolutely yummy! Here is a piece from an email that she sent to Mike Bissel a few days ago:

“Yesterday when I arrived the first phone call I received was, “Is the manager available”. You know, that’s never good. It was the customer who got the 200 logo cookies and a cake. To my surprise they absolutely loved the cookies and cake and needed to call and let me know. They had a ribbon cutting ceremony for Camelot School (they had directors in from over the whole United States and these directors could not believe the how good the cookies looked and tasted). The colors were so bright on the cookies etc. :) Again, PromoJET is #1!!!! So possibly when another school opens elsewhere, maybe we’ll get the order?????
Anyway, the ovens are waiting for me… and THANKS again.”

Decorate Cookies with Uneven Surfaces!

Printing on Cookies with Uneven Surfaces (Click to Expand!)

Take a look at what we were able to print on today!

Using the PromoJET flatbed inkjet printer with edible ink, we were able to print these great looking images right on these cookies! Just a few weeks ago we posted another blog about printing directly onto cookies and we got a lot of people asking us if the PromoJET could print on uneven cookies. Well here is your answer.

The PromoJET solvent inkjet printer can print on noticeably uneven surfaces up to five inches in height! We used the built in halogen heat lamp and our edible ink, and the printer took care of the rest. We were able to fit about 10-12 cookies in the printer at once (2-3 inches in diameter) and the whole printing process took no longer than 3 minutes!

B-Cookie! (Click to Expand!)

Some may say we have gone too far with this one (or at least we think we did.)

We have decided to merge the two sweetest things in our office together: Bonaventure, our controller, and cookies. The result was the B-Cookies. We just used the PromoJET flatbed inkjet printer along with our tasty edible ink and presto! We have a cookie that tastes great with a friendly face on it. OK, I will admit, it is a little weird to eat a cookie making that face at me, but it still tastes awesome! Decorate any cookies with virtually any image with the PromoJET edible inkjet printer!

Printing on Cakes Using the PromoJET Flatbed Inkjet Printer

Decorating cakes just got a whole lot easier!

Print directly onto cake frosting using the PromoJET flatbed inkjet printer with edible ink. Print virtually any image/photo/design directly to frosting.

Older methods were tedious work for the printer, they first had to print the image onto special paper, then transfer the paper onto the cake and then use heat to transfer the ink to the frosting. Printing direct to frosting with the PromoJET edible ink printer saves time and money, not to mention its also very tasty!
