Edible Cake Images by the PromoJET Edible Ink Printer
At Inkcups Now, we have written blogs about printing on cakes, cookies, and all sorts of sweets with the PromoJET
Edible inkjet printer. The results were nothing short of perfect. However, we get a lot of questions from readers that typically say “How can you print on sweets with the
edible ink that are too large to fit on the bed of the printer? The answer is sugar paper.
Sugar paper is exactly what it sounds like. Sugar particles are compressed into one white sheet, similar to paper in texture, appearance, and flexibility. The white, paper-like, sheet is edible and tastes great. Sugar paper is a great application for the PromoJET edible ink printer. Provided that the user has edible ink and a digitized image on the computer, they will be able to print any image on sugar paper. The PromoJET Edible inkjet printer creates sharp images at a high resolution. Take a look at these children’s characters printed on the sugar paper.
The edible ink leaves no taste behind, allowing the consumer to truly enjoy the taste of cake. Handling of the sugar paper is easy as well! The ink dries almost instantly allowing the user to touch it without smudging. The best part of the whole printing process is that it requires no pre-treatment! The PromoJET edible inkjet prints at a higher resolution than other printers that are designed specifically for that application.
